Miami Cancer Institute’s world-renowned Radiation Oncology team offers a highly advanced radiation treatment called CyberKnife™ Therapy – the first and only comprehensive robotic radiation delivery system used to treat benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) tumors.

The Miami Cancer Institute radiology specialists use CyberKnife technology to deliver high doses of radiation precisely – with millimeter-accuracy – to tumors in virtually any location in the body, often in as few as one to five treatments.

Additionally, CyberKnife Therapy enables your team of radiation experts to use sophisticated imaging techniques throughout treatment to track moving tumors continuously, such as those of the lung and abdomen – in real time. By actively and continuously tracking tumor movement, the experts ensure that radiation beams are always focused exclusively on the tumor, minimizing the impact on normal, healthy tissue.

Other cancers that can be treated with CyberKnife Therapy include those of the brain, lung, spine, adrenal gland, prostate, liver and pancreas.

To find out if CyberKnife Therapy may be the right option for you, your Miami Cancer Institute team of experts will discuss with you which radiation therapy is best suited for your individual treatment needs.

CyberKnife Therapy patients are treated in the state-of-the-art Nurture Treatment Room, named to provide inspiration and hope to all patients.
